Viva Films is unto another movie venture this time with GMA Pictures as the two big names in the entertainment industry joins together to make a local version of one of South Korea’s most successful film back in 2004—A Moment to Remember.

Based on a 2001 Japanese novel ‘Pure Soul,’ ‘A Moment to Remember’ is a 2004 South Korean film that tells the story of two lovers who faced hardships and loss as a result of an early onset of Alzheimer’s disease. The Korean adaptation was played by Son Ye-jin best known for the 2020 Korean drama ‘Crash Landing on You’ and Jung Woo-sung.

For its local adaptation, the film is set to star GMA’s very own “Asia’s Multimedia Star” Alden Richards and “Movie Queen” Bea Alonzo. The film is set to be Bea’s first movie since her management transfer back in November.

The film will be directed by Nuel Naval who is also the director of the local adaptation of another Korean film, ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’ which became the top grosser of the 45th Manila Film Festival.

According to reports, if everything goes as planned the shooting for the film will begin by next year, January 2021.

In one of Bea’s recent vlog, the actress shared how she enjoyed the actor’s company during a shoot for a brand commercial.

“I’ve worked with him, sobrang bait. Hindi lang siya, pati ‘yung team niya. I had the best time with him,” she said in her vlog.
