From Best Child Actress more than a decade ago at FAMAS to Best Supporting Actress at this year’s Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival. We’re talking about Teen Dance Princess Ella Cruz!
Ella entered the entertainment industry as early as ten years old. Her very first TV debut was in the Philippine drama fantasy series, “Majika.” In 2012, she headlined the show, “Aryana,” the country’s first teen mermaid.
Two years ago, Ella got her first leading role in a movie called “Fangirl, Fanboy” with on and off-screen partner, Julian Trono. Aside from acting, both of them are known for their dancing prowess.
She is currently part of the long-running teleserye, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.” You could also catch her with Julian in “2gether Poorever,” soon on Viva TV.
Ella is truly blessed this August! After reaching four million followers on Instagram, she also won the Best Supporting Actress award at Cinemalaya for Thop Nazareno’s film, “Edward.”
“Kahapon, I won BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS for this year’s Cinelamaya! Eto pinakahindi ko inaasahan sa lahat! Hindi ako makapaniwala talaga,” she wrote on her Instagram.
