Christmas day just ended but Philippines surely has the longest Christmas season because the holiday feels will last until January! It will not be complete without watching at least one of the eight Metro Manila Film Festival entries this year.
After all the family reunions, gift-giving, and “pamamasko,” people flocked the cinemas to do their yearly tradition of seeing an MMFF film. One of the happiest is Multimedia Superstar Anne Curtis who could not hide her joy because of the overflowing positive reviews “Aurora” has been getting.
This is her third movie for 2018 and both “Buy Bust” and “Sid & Aya: Not A Love Story” received a massive success.
Anne took her gratitude to Twitter by thanking and retweeting reactions from all its viewers.
Here are some of the feedback for “Aurora”!
The audience applauded the movie for not being the typical horror film Filipinos see in cinemas. It’s directed by Pinoy Hollywood filmmaker and “The Echo” director Yam Laranas.
Just like what Anne promised during the “Aurora” grand press conference, the sounds and cinematography of “Aurora” is top-notch!
After the ship, Aurora, sunk near their island, everybody knows that their hometown is doomed. But after Leana made a deal with the families of the missing passengers, she and her 8-year old sister, Rita, choose to stay in the island and keep their hotel open in case any of the dead bodies will be washed ashore. However, as days go by, ghosts begin to bother and haunt their seemingly normal life in the island.

“Aurora” is an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2018 by Viva Films and Aliud Entertainment is rated PG by the MTRCB.
“Aurora” is now showing in cinemas nationwide!
