Their latest movie ‘Never Not Love You’ which is about young, carefree, and reckless love is a blockbuster success, even receiving good reviews from respected movie critics and non-fans.
As a matter of fact, it’s included in the 49th International Film Festival of India in Goa (IFFIGOA).
In an Instagram post by its director Antoinette Jadaone, she expressed her gratitude regarding the positive response of the foreign audience at the screening.

Thank you @iffigoa for #NeverNotLoveYou's first intl film festival experience! This came as a surprise since festivals usually favor arthouse films over love stories, kaya maraming salamat!!! Kahit 'yung lola na katabi ni @geoderic ay kinilig, nag-a-I love you too tuwing mag-a-I love you sina Joanne at Gio – sabayang pagbigkas po??? Choz. Congrats, team #NNLY! 💕 At salamat din #IFFI2018 sa mga pa-talk! Sinulit ko ang 2.5 days at umattend ng tatlo. AT ANG SARAP PALA NG INDIAN FOOD. Syempre siningit ko ang picture ng chicken biryani. Pelikula is life, but food is life too noh. 🍽
In her Instagram stories, she even got the reaction of one of the representatives from IFFIGOA.
“I’ve seen that ‘Never Not Love You’ is one film which has gotten mad reactions from Indians out here. You know people have been reading in cues,” Aishwarya shared.
“Screenings have been jam-packed literally, and I think they have two screenings so far and one has been like very late night show, maybe around 10:45, but still people come, and you know youngsters, they watched the film,” she added.
“They even have nice reactions about it. It’s more of a romantic drama which appeals to any kinds of audience, and it’s very nice to see films from Philippines, around the world, coming to India and getting the same kind of response which other Indian films also get,” she further said.
This was James and Nadine’s last film together before temporarily working on separate projects.
Nadine is almost done with the shoot of a coming-of-age film ‘Ulan.’ She will be joined by three leading men namely Carlo Aquino, Marco Gumabao, and AJ Muhlach.
She will also star in a dance musical movie with close friend Sam Concepcion, directed by award winning director Paul Basinillo in 2019.
James, on the other hand, is ready to be the next ‘Pedro Penduko’ after receiving super intense training for the role.
