The Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo have worked with Lea Salonga for many times in the past already. Now, they are both coaches in the reality TV singing competition, The Voice Philippines alongside Coach Bamboo.

Recently, Coach Sarah’s letter to Lea Salonga which was published in the latter’s book, Playlist, have been going around the internet. Although the letter wasn’t that long and was written several years ago already, it is very meaningful and funny at the same time.

It described the surreal feeling she had when the Tony Award winner texted her mother congratulating her for the TV series, Bituing Walang Ningning aired in 2006.

Sarah also shared her experience of seeing Lea perform for the first time. It read, “Naalala ko din that very first time I saw perform live. It was actually just a rehearsal. While I was watching her, tears kept rolling down my face. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, ‘Siya ‘yung Lea Salonga na nag-text sa amin ni Mama noon.’ It was a magical moment. SHe touched my heart and I was really mesmerized. Rehearsal pa lang ‘yun ah. She’s just perfect.”
