Right from the start, Millennial Multi-hyphenate Nadine Lustre already veered away from being ordinary. She is not the typical superstar, and that’s what makes her stand out from the rest.
Dubbed as the most awarded movie actress of her generation, Nadine bagged three Best Actress trophies from Young Critics Circle, FAMAS, and Gawad Urian this year alone.
Critics applaud her for deciding to be in films that do not follow a certain formula and portraying women roles that are not stereotypical.
After playing “Joanne” in “Never Not Love You,” Nadine did another memorable role as “Maya” in the magic realism movie, “Ulan.”
On August 7, the world will witness Nadine showcase her dance prowess for the first time on the big screen in the most epic dance movie of the year, “Indak,” with Sam Concepcion.
Earlier today, the Multimedia Princess promoted her upcoming film at the Moster RX93.1. She showed the fake Baybayin tattoo on her nape, which was required for the movie.
In case some of you didn’t know, Nadine has a total of eight real tattoos on her body with deep meanings behind each of them.
The rose reminds her to practice self-love. The “ma cherie” or “my sweetheart” refers to herself, while the “ego omnia” on her rib area means “I am everything.” The heart, on the other hand, says that she has to do everything with love.
The moon on her wrist is inspired by Coldplay’s everglow, while the sparkle is a matching tattoo with her friends. There is also Lady Gaga’s “ooh la la” on her finger.
The “Indak” star also has the words “NAKAYAPAK AT NAHIHIWAGAAN” on her arms. It is a phrase from his late brother’s favorite song, “Tadhana,” which she got on his first death anniversary.
Asked what tattoo she would like to get next, Nadine shared that it was supposed to be a snake, a ground-dwelling animal which suggests she stays grounded.
But Nadine changed her mind because her “Indak” co-star, Sam, already have the same one on his leg.
“I want to get a dragon on my foot,” she said. Japanese dragon tattoo to be specific. “But that’s gonna be a big tattoo, so I’m thinking about it,” Nadine added.
Meanwhile, don’t forget to watch “Indak,” starting August 7 in cinemas nationwide. Catch the cast of “Indak” on July 15 at Fisher Mall in Quezon City! Watch the trailer below!
