Overcoming your insecurities is not easy, especially if a lot of people are constantly pointing them out. A huge name in the industry like Millennial Multi-hyphenate Nadine Lustre is not an exception.
She admitted to have a lot of issues about herself before that she had learned to accept, paving a way to a more confident, headstrong, and empowered Nadine Lustre that we are witnessing now.
In Mega Magazine’s first summer special issue, with not one but three covers, Nadine shared her struggles and how she was able to get pass all of them to become the woman that she is today.
“I had a lot of insecurities back then, and I kind of let them get the best of me. There was a time pa nga na I was having issues with myself just because I think my body wasn’t proportioned,” she told Mega Magazine.
According to the Multimedia Princess, there was a time when she would put on cover-ups while wearing bikinis because she was not confident about her body. But through hard work, she has become a better version of herself.
As the first Filipino brand ambassador of H&M, Nadine collaborated with them in a swimwear collection and campaign that’s very body positive.
“These are bikinis or swimsuits that are perfect for different kinds of body types. It’s really flattering on curvy, pear-shaped, hourglass—it looks good on anyone,” she said.
Nadine also revealed that there is no editing done on this campaign to encourage women to be comfortable, and beautiful in their own skin.
“Just accept your flaws because that’s what makes you ‘you’. That’s what makes a person unique,” she stated.
