On January 2, Saturday Viva kicked off the brand new year with an hour full of entertainment brought by some of the country’s brightest stars and upcoming talents with the first-ever Viva Christmas Special! With its success, we can’t help but to mention moments viewers adored during this special event, here are some of them:

Special messages from Anne Curtis, Rico Blanco, Vice Ganda, and Aga Muhlach

Viva artists may not have shared the stage for this all-out event, but the special messages sent by the company’s top artists have bounded the program altogether.

Anne Curtis kicked off the event with her message of hope, Rico Blanco gives hope to musicians and people in the entertainment industry affected by the pandemic, Vice Ganda pays tribute to the frontliners, and Aga Muhlach ending the event with a reminder of the true spirit of Christmas especially in these times.

Christmas Song Covers

Of course, the event is filled with their own rendition of timeless Christmas songs. Viva artists and singers like Kean Cipriano, Katrina Velarde, Raphiel Shannon, Sam Concepcion, Acapellago, Lyca Gairanod, Jona Soquite, Mark Bautista, Carlyn Ocampo, Thyro Alfaro, Yumi Lacsamana, Monique Lualhati, Marion Aunor, Jimmie Marquez, Ronnie Liang, and even Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo sang various Christmas songs giving it their own rendition.

TikTok Themed Performances

Who would’ve forgotten how TikTok crazed everyone was this year? And so trending songs from the platform also made it in the Viva Christmas special! With performances from Yanyan de Jesus, Andrew Muhlach, Vitto Marquez, Julian Trono, McCoy de Leon, Marco Gallo, and Hazel Edep.

A Tribute to ‘Tala’

Yet before TikTok took over it was Sarah G’s ‘Tala’ that reigned in social media. Danced and posted at every corner of social media, the song truly lived its name—a star. Yassi Pressman, Ella Cruz, G-Force Dancers, and Teacher Georcelle showed us the step and why ‘Tala’ was an unforgettable phenomenon.

Sarah G’s The First Noel

Everyone was in awe of Sarah G’s rendition of ‘The First Noel’. The singer made the song more melodic and calming as if it’s a lullaby, along with the beautiful voices of Acapellago, Lyca Gairanod, and Jona Soquite the song is as beautiful as it’s original.

Artists Sings ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’

The event ended on a high note with everyone singing ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’ imagine if we aren’t experiencing the pandemic, how much of a celebration seeing all of Viva Artists on stage for the very first time. A monumental event indeed!
