There has been an ongoing clamor for Millenial Multi-hyphenate Nadine Lustre to do a superhero role. Given her beautiful morena skin, great physique, and acting prowess, we really can’t blame them.
Nadine is a perfect example of a Filipino who embraces her color. She never fails to send message of empowerment, not only to women, but for everyone to accept their flaws, be confident, and love their selves.
Last month, Marvel comic artist Mico Suayan revealed that Nadine is his inspiration behind the exclusive cover of the first Filipino Marvel superhero, “Wave.”
During the special signing event for “War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #1,” where “Wave” made her very first appearance, Mico shared in an interview with MYX Philippines the reasons why he chose Nadine.
“Maganda kasi yung features niya kasi talagang Filipina beauty, ang ganda ng color ng skin niya, yung katawan niya and ‘yun, doon ko kinuha yung inspiration behind the artwork,” the Marvel artist explained.”
Nadine previously told the Philippine Star that she’s thankful and surprised when one of her friends showed it to her.
“It’s really flattering and it’s such an honor kasi she’s yun nga, we all know “Wave” is the very first Filipina character [ng Marvel]. It’s an honor, and I’m really grateful,” she said.
The Multimedia Princess is currently busy with her upcoming dance musical movie called “Indak” with Sam Concepcion. As a matter of fact, they are already on its 19th shooting day.
