After having three blockbuster movies and a sold out concert last year, Multimedia Sweetheart Anne Curtis is on a roll again shooting her first movie this year, “Just a Stranger,” with “Los Bastardos” star Marco Gumabao.

Directed by “100 Tula Para kay Stella” director Jason Paul Laxamana, Anne will play a character named Mae, who has been described as a fashionable yet troubled woman.

In 2018, Anne has proven to be one of the top versatile actresses in the country by headlining in three different film genres such as action in “Buy Bust,” drama in “Sid & Aya,” and thriller in “Aurora.”

The Viva heartthrob has since been busy with his nonstop projects such as “Abay Babes,” “Para sa Broken Hearted,” “Aurora,” and “Ulan.”

Anne and Marco already started filming in February. They are now in Lisbon, Portugal to resume the shoot of the movie. This their second time working together following the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Aurora.”

They shared some Instagram stories while enjoying the beach in Portugal. Hotness overload with their toned summer bodies. Look!

Recently, Anne became the first female recipient of the FPJ Memorial Award at the recently concluded 67th FAMAS. It was also announced on “It’s Showtime” that she will have a movie with Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda this 2019.

Last night I was given an honour so overwhelming that I fumbled for my words the moment I got on stage. So please allow me to put down in words what I really wanted to say. It was a very special night and I would like to thank the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Science for giving me the recognition and as the FIRST FEMALE recipient of the FPJ Memorial Award. Just as “Da King” led the way to make a mark in the industry with his action films I was given the opportunity to do the action film BUYBUST that had a strong female lead.. in fact, last year I did 3 films, all of different genres with very strong female leads. This goes to show it is an amazing and exciting time in the industry where females can take on the part as strong leads of any film, of any genre. Thank you to all the directors and film companies that continue to have faith in us, filipina actresses. Thank to my Viva Family, Boss Vic, Ate Vr and Boss Vincent for allowing me to continue to grow as an actress and giving me films that continue to challenge me in my craft. As I’m pushing forward to my 22nd year in the industry, I dedicate this to my mum, who has always been supportive and the wind beneath my wings, I am in fact living out her dream to be an actress. My parents and family who continue to support me. My husband who understands my crazy schedule and sometimes not seeing me for a month. I love you all very much. I also dedicate this to the filipino youth who continue to have high hopes and work hard to pursue their dreams. Mabuhay ang Pelikulang Pilipino. I pray that there will be many more films with kick-ass strong female leads. Thank you again FAMAS! And thank you to the Poe Family for allowing a female to receive this award this year. I truly appreciate it and I am very, very grateful! To God Be ALL the Glory. . Thank you to everyone who made me feel extra pretty tonight – ms @tingduque and @santiagoraymond for my hair and make up. @michaelleyva for my stunning dress. @jewelmer for my classic beautiful filipino pearl earrings. P.S – I still can’t believe I’m wearing THE Audrey Hepburn’s Velvet bow. Wearing it last night has just made it even more special to me.
