James Reid sure is unlike other artists of his generation. He is a multi-hyphenate celebrity; a singer, dancer, performer, influencer, CEO of his own music label, and of course, an actor.
On the fateful night of February 9, 2016, he proclaimed his love for his partner Nadine Lustre in front of thousands of people who were present at the Jadine In Love concert.
Other than that, him and Nadine started doing separate projects since last year. They both agreed that it would be good for the both of them so that they can grow individually as artists.
Right now, he is even more vocal and more open in speaking up about his relationship with Nadine, his feelings and even his career choices.
What can he say about himself breaking the stereotypes on celebrities, especially those who are part of love teams?
He answered this during an interview with PEP during the Mountain Dew Dew Day 2019 in Taguig last Saturday, March 16.
He said, “Break the stereotypes? It’s just really us wanting to be ourselves, express ourselves.
“It gets to a point, especially in show business as a love team, I didn’t want to feel like a robot anymore.
“I wanted to do what I like. I wanted to do what I thought was great, what made me happy. So, it’s worth it.”
