Before becoming the island girl we all know and love, Andi Eigenmann was first known for her contributions to television and film. Ever since her career kicked off in 2007, she has played multiple roles that Filipinos of all ages have appreciated and loved.

While she was talking about kindness in her vlog, The Happy Islanders, the actress suddenly remembered one of the influential directors she has worked with, Direk Wenn V. Deramas. She worked with the director in 2013 for a comedy film entitled, “Momzillas”, as well as a fantasy drama teleserye, “Galema: Anak ni Zuma”.
Andi recalls a time when the late director shared some wisdom to her: “Sinabi sakin ng director ko before, Direk Wenn – Rest in Peace, I miss you and I love you so much. Nagbigay siya ng example and said, ‘Magkaiba kasi yung pagiging mabait sa mabuting tao’.”

She explains, “It’s so easy to say that, ‘Oo, she’s nice’ but it’s a different story when someone says she’s really a good person, like she’s so kind. You may have a strong personality, you may be the type of person that you know, steps on other people’s toes or whatnot for fighting for what you believe in – ’cause you can’t please everyone but there’s a difference between just being mabait and being mabuti.”

Andi also shares that she wants to impart this wisdom to her kids, saying, “I’d rather have my daughter be strong and not please everybody but as long as she knows that she has a good heart and she’s really a kind person. That’s what matters.”
